3-D artist Perryn Butler writes:

‘The joy of carving is that it is difficult.  You can’t stick a piece back on and you are always constricted by the size of the block.  This calls for ingenuity and a fluidity of expression that does not exist for me in other materials.  I use predominantly lime stones like Bath stone because I like the warm colours, and Serpentine because you can polish it.  The carvings are then cast into a variety of materials to make editions.’

Work displayed at:

Art Matters, Tenby
Pembrokeshire Art and Framing, Haverfordwest
The Waterfront Gallery, Milford Haven
The Kooywood Gallery, Cardiff

Perryn has also recently joined the Form Contemporary Craft gallery in Blaenavon, Torfaen; and the Ropewalk Contemporary Gallery in Barton upon Humber, North Lincolnshire.
